Civ is not a game for everyone, thats for sure. But it sure saddens me to see it dumbed down to an action game.

Civ Revolution actually didn't turn out too bad. Yes, it's dumbed down a little bit, but they haven't gone all out and turned it into an action game, it's just been redesigned to work on consoles/portables that don't have a mouse.

I just hope it isn't the end for new, PC Civilizations. Even though I don't play anymore, I know there are people out there who do, and I DID have my fun with Civ2.

Revolutions is not bad, in fact I played the Demo on the PS3 (gasp! yes, I am full console convert.. I will have to post about that elsewhere.) I can see a lot of elements from Civilization but it moves faster and is simplified. Overall not a bad thing, but since I played every version from 1.0 it took some getting used to.
